What is LinkAlizer?
LinkAlizer is an online software that facilitates webmasters to find other
webmasters and exchange links with them. LinkAlizer acts as a medium and transmits
the messages between the webmasters. LinkAlizer also keeps record of links exchanged
so that a member can refer with whom they have exchanged links.
Is it necessary to add a link to linkalizer on my site when I submit my website?
Of course it is necessary. You should add a link to linkalizer on a relevant
links page that is accessible from your homepage. Adding a link to linkalizer
on a different domain is not accepted. The link to linkalizer should be live
before you submit your site.
Why do you want separate E-mail for each submission?
When your submission is approved, you will receive lots of E-mails from LinkAlizer concerning link exchange (link invitations, link invitation acceptances and link exchange completions). If you have submitted more than one website and if you have one common E-mail, it surely will cause confusion. Please be assured that your E-mail IDs are used only by LinkAlizer and are not revealed even to other members.
I am not the webmaster. Can I submit my company's website?
You should have the authority and writing previleges to the website contents.
That is one reason why we ask to add a link to linkalizer. If you cannot add
a link to linkalizer, how can you add other member sites' links? If you have
no writing permission, do not submit the site. Please bear in mind that linkalizer
is primarily a link exchange and the directory is only a resultant product.
Why do Webmasters need to exchange links?
By exchanging links, their site gets traffic. Webmasters can increase visitors
to the site by identifying and exchanging links with sites that are relevant
to their sites. While links on other sites brings direct traffic, those links
are also detected by search engines. It helps your Site's ranking if you
have more number of links pointing to your site.
Does exchanging links with too many sites hurt Search Engine Ranking?
Definitely it does not hurt. However, you should exchange links with websites
that are relevant to the subject matter of your site. The underlying meaning
of adding relevant links is to provide your visitors alternate information.
It will help your site if you exchange links with sites whose contents are useful
to your visitors.
What type of Websites are accepted by LinkAlizer?
Websites that have good content, easy navigation, links pages and acceptable
to LinkAlizer terms, can join. You will get more response to link invitations
if your site has got a Google PR or at least if it has been indexed by major
search engines. Therefore, submitting sites immediately after launching it, may
not receive link exchanges. LinkAlizer accepts only domain and subdomain URLs. Domain
format: http://yoursite.com Sub-domain format: http://subdomain.yoursite.com
URLs that ends with a directory or file name are not supported.
Can I add my site to your Directory and remain without exchanging links?
LinkAlizer's main purpose is to enable members to exchange links. Therefore,
if you are not interested in exchanging links, do not submit your site. But
why you ignore a major way that will bring traffic to your site?
What happens after I submit my website?
Your submission is verified manually by a member of our support team. If the
submission is in accordance with our terms, it is approved - usually within
24 working hours. User name and password are sent to the submitted E-mail address.
If the submission is not approved, a mail is sent to the submitted E-mail
address with the reason. If you have corrected the issue or if you feel that
the disapproval is an error, you can reply to this mail stating your point. However,
you should review the terms carefully before replying.
After approval how do I start exchanging links?
When your website is approved, a link invitation on your behalf is automatically
sent to Premium members (information about Premium membership is given below)
who have opted to receive link invitations from your site category. If they
accept, you will be informed by E-mail.
After you receive the approval mail, you login to your account. If you want,
you can change the password by going to account management. You can also edit
your site title, description and category at any time. If you want to change
the E-mail, send a request using the contact form. You cannot change the URL.
If the website is no more working, you scroll down below on the account management page and delete your account.
Go to the Directory and select the categories that you want to exchange links
with.
The websites under each category are listed with the most recent one on the
top. You can visit the site by clicking the link on the title. The site will
open on a new window. If you decide to exchange links with the site, click on
"Send link invitation to this site" found below the site details.
That's it. Your request will be sent by LinkAlizer.
Free members can send up to 10 invitations per day. If you want to send more
invitations, you should upgrade your account as Premium.
When you receive link invitations or when your invitations has been accepted or when the link partner completes the link exchange,
you will receive notification to your registered E-mail inbox. You should ensure
that mail from linkalizer.com are received to your inbox. Do not reply to these mails. Login to your LinkAlizer account and take action.
Login to your account and click on 'New Invitations' tab. You will find the list
of websites that have invited you to exchange links. Visit the website and decide
whether to accept or deny. You can accept or deny all the sites on the page
at one go, but we recommend that you visit the site and decide individually.
If you upgrade to Premium status, you will receive invitations only from categories
that you chose. When you accept an invitation you are bound to link back after
that site adds your link.
After accepting or denying invitations, click on the 'Accepted invitations'
tab. This page lists all the sites that have accepted your link invitation.
As you are the initiater, add those links to your links page. Enter the exact
URL of your link page in the box under the website details on the linkalizer
page and enter. The information will be sent to the accepter website. They will
check you link page and place a back link to your site. When they have done,
you will be notified by E-mail and the link exchange is complete. If, for some reason, you do not want to proceed with the link exchange, click on 'I changed my mind. remove this exchange'. But beware that once you remove the exchange, there is no way to retrieve it.
When you have added all the links on the 'Accepted invitations' page, click
on 'Waiting your link back' tab. This page contains the list of all websites that
have already added your link and waiting for you to link back. The URL of the
page that your link has been added is shown below the site details. Click on the link
and the page will open in a new window. Check whether your link is visible there. If
you are satisfied, you add their link and enter the URL. The other webmaster
will be notified and the link exchange is complete. If, for some reason, you
do not want to add their link, click on 'I changed my mind, remove this exchange'.
The other webmaster will be notified so that he/she can remove your link from
their site. But beware that once you remove the exchange, there is no way to retrieve it.
The 'Completed exchanges' tab shows, as the name implies, the list of websites
that have completed link exchanges with you. Link page URLs of their site and
your site are shown. If you have moved their link to another location, you should
enter the new location and the other webmaster will be informed about the change.
If you move their link and do not change the URL, the other webmaster may remove
your link thinking you are no more linking to them. Here also, if you do not
want to continue the link exchange for some reason, you click on 'I changed
my mind, remove this exchange' and the other webmaster will be informed your
decision.
This is also the place that you can check whether your partner is still linking
to you. Check their link pages and if you do not find your link, you can remove
their link from your links page and remove the exchange. However, double check
because your link might have moved to another page (eg. if it was www.somesite.com/links?page=2,
it might have moved to www.somesite.com/links?page=3).
Finally the 'Terminated exchanges' tab. On this page you find the sites that
have removed the exchange after you linked to them. You can safely remove their
link from your site.
From the above you can see the system works simply and efficiently to make it
easy and fast for you to exchange links.
By upgrading to Premium status you get additional facilities that reduce
your time and effort to a great extent.
What are the additional facilities available to Premium members?
A Premium member can:
* Download a Free Link Exchange Directory software. Find more
information about this software Here
* Send unlimited number of invitations at any time.
* Set and manage the categories to accept link invitations
from. Go to the Account management page and you will find all available categories
already ticked. Remove the tick from categories that you consider irrelevant.
* Receive link invitations from all new members (from categories you accept). You accept the
invitations and your link will be added by the inviter website. Then you can
link back to them. There is potential for 300 or more link exchanges per month.
* Use Multi handle tools to handle lot of links faster.
How do I upgrade my account to Premium status?
When you login to your account, you will see a link to Upgrade. Click on this
and you will be taken to the upgrade page. There are several options to upgrade.
You can choose for 1year or 6 months or monthly subscription. In addition
to the upgrade, you can also ask for Multi Send Out. That means, the Support team at LinkAlizer will send
invitations on your behalf to ALL active members. You handle the exchange
when they respond.
Payment is secure via PayPal. You can pay with your Credit Card even if you
do not have a PayPal account.
Can I add my site to different categories?
Not at this time.
How long does it take to approve a submission?
Usually submissions are approved within 24 working hours. However, there are
limitations to our resources. Be patient till you hear from us.
Can I change my website details?
Yes, you can change the details except URL and E-mail. Login to your account
and go to Account management. Here you can edit your title, description etc. If
you want to change the E-mail, send a request using our Contact form.
URLs cannot be changed. If the URL is not working anymore, delete the account and submit the new URL afresh.
Will the PR of my website be automatically updated?
PR is automatically added when your submission comes for review.
If there is any change afterwards, inform us via the contact form and we will update the information.
What I should do as a LinkAlizer member?
As a member, please be loyal and honor your obligations towards your link partners. Do not remove partner links without information.
For any reason if you move a link to another location (URL) you should login
to your account, go to 'completed exchanges' tab, find the other site's URL
with your browser's find function and modify your links page URL with the new
one.
If your site is no more working, please login and delete the account.
If you find another member has violated the terms, please let us know using
the contact form.
We are facilitating thousands of Free members and it is not possible for us
to watch each member's activities. Your cooperation will help LinkAlizer to
be more effective and useful. That is good for LinkAlizer as well as for your
website.
How to close my account with LinkAlizer
We will be sorry to see you go but if you decide to close your account with
LinkAlizer for some reason or if the URL is not working anymore, you can delete
your account in your Account management page. Scroll down to the bottom where you will
find a link to delete your account. Once you delete an account, you cannot re-submit the same URL. If you want to re-activate the account, send a mail to support at linkalizer dot com.
How to contact LinkAlizer
We prefer all members use the Contact form for any assistance by our Support
team. The contact form is accessible only by LinkAlizer members (after they login). We do not have the resources to respond to general inquiries from others.
